The Pair Room

The pair room exists because most people who book a treatment for two are not actually looking for a shared experience — they are looking for the same experience, at the same time, in the same room, without the small administrative burden of coordinating two separate bookings.

Two therapists work two tables. You each choose your own pressure and your own focus beforehand, and the treatments run in loose step rather than mirrored: the therapists move through the same regions at roughly the same time, so the room stays quiet together and finishes together. If one of you wants deep work on a shoulder and the other wants the lightest possible touch, that is entirely normal and requires no negotiation between you.

It is not a couples treatment in the greeting-card sense. There is no chocolate, no rose petal, no champagne. It is booked as often by friends, siblings and colleagues as by couples, and by a decent number of parents with an adult child. What people report liking is the silence — ninety minutes beside someone with nothing to say to them.

The booking includes forty minutes of circuit time afterwards for both of you, which we schedule rather than leave to chance, because the pair room is our most requested slot and the bench fills. Arrive twenty minutes early; two intakes take longer than one, and we would rather not start late.
